Facebook is allowing users to curate their newsfeeds more than ever before.

The new unfollow button will allow people to remain friends with each other without having to read their status updates, see their photographs, or see which awful song they’re listening to in Spotify, if they so please.

The new feature will be on user profiles and company pages, so you can also support your friend’s t-shirt company with your like, but take away your attention from it completely.

In typical Facebook fashion, the feature is being rolled out slowly, and will take some time to propagate to all users. Look forward to blocking all your “friends” terrible jokes and banal life updates in the coming week.
