The LG G Watch teaser site indicates that the G Watch will be protected from dust and water damage. It is not year clear what IP rating the G Watch will have.

Samsung’s latest Gear line of wearables have a IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, meaning they are dustproof, and water-resistant at up to one meter (but only for about 30 minutes.) The G Watch is likely to have an IP67 rating, but it could score even more fans if it was totally water-proof or even dive-friendly.

CNET reports that, unlike some other wearables with a screen that goes to sleep, the LG G Watch is expected to have a display that’s always on. They jokingly note:

“The screen won’t go to sleep and will always display the time — a watch that always tells you the time, why did no-one think of that before?”

5. LG G Watch Available in Multiple Colors

Phandroid reports that the G Watch will be available in black and “champagne gold” varieties. The black watch has a black wristband, while the champagne gold watch face is paired with a white band. It is not yet clear whether the bands will be easy to swap out for different colors or finishes, but this is likely to be possible for those owners who want an additional degree of customization.
