WATCH: ‘Cancer Goggles’ Detect Deadly Cells, Making Them Glow

A new technology is helping doctors to detect cancer cells. These so-called “Cancer Goggles” can be seen in the video above.

The cancer goggles can be used to help doctors determine if they have removed all of the cancerous cells during the excision of a cancerous tumor.

The goggles can detect cancer cells by creating a “glowing effect” in the surgeon’s field of view. This glowing effect is achieved by injecting the body with a special dye that attaches to only cancerous cells. The goggles allow the human eye to perceive these dyed cells.
