2. Fleksy Keyboard
Check out SlashGear’s hands-on video with Fleksy above.
Fleksy Keyboard is a great tool for typing faster. While there is a free version of the app available on Google Play, there are a number of reasons to invest in the paid version of the app. Most notably, the free version is only free for 30 days.
Fun fact: The official Guinness World Record for fastest typing on a smartphone was broken with Fleksy on May 2014. It’s also worth noting that upgrading from Free to Paid will automatically import your Settings, Badges and Dictionary.
Check out this funny, user-created video showing off the perks of HotSchedule in the clip above. You can use this app to get you out of a bad date.
HotSchedules is worth buying because it looks great on both phones and tablets. Additionally, it is an excellent enterprise tool that lets managers at a company monitor who’s working, approve employee requests, or record their daily operations.
Check out a review of this app in the video above. (The review of the app is done on an iPhone, but the core app functionality remains the same across both iOS and Android platforms.)
WolframAlpha is a really interesting search tool. While it’s never been able to dethrone Google since its launch several years ago, this app will appeal to Android fans who sometimes wish they had the ease of access to WolframAlpha that iOS users get (Siri often returns WolframAlpha results when you do a voice search.)
The Android version of WolframAlpha is worth buying because it can do so much, and returns so much data. Whether you’re looking to do a quick conversion in the kitchen, pull up some quick figures about the solar system, or just get help with your math homework, WolframAlpha is search that’s tailored for scientists, mathematicians, and engineers.
5. Best Android Health & Fitness App: Zombies, Run!
Get a sense of the creepy atmosphere in Zombies, Run! by watching the video above from App Advice Daily.
Zombies, Run! is part audiobook and part fitness app. As you run, the app tracks your running stats, while also immersing you in a fantastic story about the zombie apocalypse. The coolest function of the app are “Zombie Chases,” which force you to put on a burst of speed or risk getting “eaten” during a mission.
Season 3 is airing now, with new episodes launching every week through the summer. This app has a ton of content, including various side missions and race missions to keep things fresh. With a compelling story and a strong vocal cast, this app can get even the most lumpy of couch potatoes excited about exercising.
