(Amazon)

Though the SurgeDisk Bamboo Wireless Charger is not actually made with bamboo, it has the look and feel of real bamboo, as well as the durability.

It is small and discreet. It has a handy nonslip ring at the bottom to keep your charger anchored wherever you place it.

A softly illuminated LED shows when the mobile device is properly placed for charging. This feature alerts you of an improper sync, thereby preventing the buildup of excess heat.

This charger delivers a standard 2A charge, which compares with standard wired charging.

Price: $24.99 (29 percent off MSRP)

Pros:

  • Bamboo finish matches any décor
  • Poor sync detection prevents excess heat buildup
  • Strong, durable build

(Amazon)

Samsung’s own Mini Wireless Charger is a high quality compact charger. Like all options listed, it is Qi certified by the Wireless Power Consortium.

As this charger and Samsung’s many compatible phones suggest, the company is one of the biggest backers of the Qi wireless standard.

It has many features expected of a quality wireless charger, including an LED indicator that makes it easy to keep track of when your phone is charged.

The charger also includes a 2A wall charger. It is convenient to get a charger of the appropriate amperage, because this helps ensure that a fully charged phone isn’t over or under charged when left to sit.

Unfortunately, some phones with slick backs can have a tendency to slide out of position. But you likely will not have this problem if you use a phone case.

Samsung’s Wireless Charger charges through the thickest cases, so this should pose no problem for most people.

This charger is an obvious choice for Samsung device users, but it likewise a solid pick if you are willing to spend the extra cash for the peace of mind.

Price: $24.99 (38 percent off MSRP)

Buy the Samsung Wireless Charging Pad here.

Pros:

  • Includes 2A wall charger
  • Easily charges through cases
  • Compact form factor

Cons:

  • Surface does not grip all types of material
  • Some units will stop charging at 100%
  • Older phones require a separate charging pack

3. PowerBot Inductive Charging Station

(Amazon)

PowerBot’s Inductive Charging Station has a lot of nice features going for it, but probably most eye-catching is its low price compared to chargers of similar quality.

Its casing isn’t as solid as other options, but it has a Smart IC energy management system that is strong enough to charge through most cases.

That is more than what one might expect from a wireless charger for under $20.

It also has an anti-slip grip surface, meaning its easier to keep your phone in the sweet spot where charging is most efficient. The charger includes both a 1-foot and 5-foot Micro USB cable, but not a wall adapter.

Powerbot’s charger also emits a small beep when starting or finishing a charge to accompany its display LED. Some won’t be bothered by this, but others have literally dismantled this charger to manually disable the beep.

The device will perform a trickle charge once your phone is charged to 100%, reducing the risk of overcharging your battery.

It does charge slightly slower than a USB charger, but not having to plug in every time you want a charge is a big convenience.

If you are looking for a cheap entry into the world of wireless charging, Powerbot’s Inductive Charging Station is an excellent choice.

Price: $9.99

Buy the PowerBot Inductive Charging Station here.

Pros:

  • One of the cheapest chargers
  • Anti-slip material
  • Charges well through cases

Cons:

  • The beep when starting or stopping a charge can be distracting
  • Slightly slower than USB charging
  • USB port is somewhat flimsy

4. Ottie Easy One Touch Wireless Car Mount

(Amazon)

If you’ve ever wanted a wireless charger for your car, iOttie’s Easy One Touch Charger is a versatile way to power you wireless charging devices.

Car mounts are already useful for hands-free calling and navigation, so adding a wireless charger to the package only sweetens the deal.

iOttie’s mount fits devices from 2.3 to 3.3 inches wide. Its silicone suction cup attaches easily to any type of dashboard material.

The suction cup is almost too strong for its use, as several users report accidentally damaging their dashboard while trying to get it off.

Its One Touch lock and release mounting system, on the other hand, takes no effort. It is a breeze to mount or unmount your phone.

The useful telescopic arm allows for the best viewing angles, and can even be used to swivel the phone from portrait to landscape mode.

While the One Touch Car Mount offers a lot of convenient features, it falls somewhat short in build quality. Its plastics are light and somewhat flimsy for their higher price.

This gripe aside, this car mount is an incredibly convenient charging accessory, and brings wireless convenience to your commute. Its one touch mounting system makes it far too convenient to pass up.

Price: $39.95

Buy the Ottie Easy One Touch Wireless Qi Standard Car Mount here.

Pros:

  • Easy One Touch lock and release mounting system
  • Allows for hands-free calling and navigation
  • Swiveling telescopic arm for easy viewing

Cons:

  • Suction cup almost too strong
  • Build quality could be better
  • High price tag

5. Yootech Fast Charging Pad

(Amazon)

Yootech’s latest wireless charger is a powerful device capable of adaptive quick charging using QC 2.0 or 3.0 with the latest phones. If you have a Galaxy S7 or never, you can get a maximum output of 10W, twice that of normal wireless charging.

Getting the fastest charge speeds requires near perfect placement, but the charger goes through most cases easily. One downside is that the charger does not come with an AC adapter.

However, if you use the one that came with your phone, you’ll be able to quick charge from any outlet.

This charger makes a great bedside companion, as the brightness of its LED charge indicator will automatically adjust to the ambient light in the room. This means that the light is greatly dimmed at night. Now you won’t have to cover it up with a sock.

Price: $14.99 (63 percent off MSRP)

Buy the Yootech Fast Charging Pad here.

Pros:

  • QC 2.0/3.0 compatible with newer phones
  • LED indicator dims in darker rooms
  • Charges well through cases

Cons:

  • No included AC adapter
  • Can be hard to find the sweet spot

6. Choetech T513 Qi Wireless Charging Pad

best wireless charging pad, best wireless charger, wireless charging pad, wireless charger, qi charger, wireless phone charger, wireless qi charging, wireless charging station, best qi charger

(Amazon)

Choetech’s T513 Charging Pad improves upon past Choetech models for their best wireless charger yet. It has a nice rubberized surface that helps keep the phone on its sweet spot, which can be a bit touchy on this unit.

It supports cases up to 5mm thick, but unfortunately, does not manage heat in the most efficient way.

The Choetech doesn’t have any exciting extra features to make it stand out, but while it doesn’t do anything particularly well, it also does nothing wrong.

This is certainly not a bad feature for a portable charger, since it pretty much just has to do one thing well. If that’s all you need, then this is a fine pick.

Price: $19.99

Buy the Choetech T513 Qi Wireless Charging Pad here.

Pros:

  • Rubberized texture grips phone and surface well
  • Supports cases up to 5mm thick
  • One of the cheaper wireless chargers

Cons:

  • Can be hard to find the sweet spot
  • Runs on the hotter side when charging
  • Does not include AC adapter

7. TYLT Vu Wireless Charger

(Tylt)

The TYLT Vu Wireless Charger offers a really smart improvement in its standing cradle shape, which both eliminates positioning issues and allows the phone to be used while charging.

It is made of high quality materials, though its large stand design does not lend itself well to being a nightstand charger.

It can still charge overnight well, trickle charging with most phones. It should be noted, however, that some issues have been reported with Galaxy S6’s, while other S6 owners have had no issues.

The TYLT charger charges fairly fast since its always on its sweet spot. But for the same reason, heat issues are slightly more common. As far as cradle-styled wireless chargers, though, TYLT’s is a winner.

Price: $21.99 (45 percent off MSRP)

Buy the TYLT Vu Wireless Charger here.

Pros:

  • Stand design allows for easy use while charging
  • Charges comparatively fast
  • No sweet spot needed

Cons:

  • Runs on the hotter side when charging
  • Reported issues with Galaxy S6
  • Large design is not good for a nightstand charger

8. Seneo Fast Wireless Charging Pad

(Amazon)

Not only does the Seneo Fast Wireless charger boast Qi 2.0 fast wireless charging on compatible devices, but it also has an awesome stand design which allows easy use of your phone while it is charging.

Qi 2.0 fast charging is only available for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Note 7, Galaxy S6 Edge+, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge models. This charger will charge one of those phones from dead to 100% in a little over two hours.

Note that you need an adaptive fast charging wall adapter for this, which is sadly not included with this charger.

Other phones charge at a reasonable speed on the Seneo charger as well. The tilted stand design makes it easy to use your phone while it is charging, and the sweet spot is nice and wide, allowing you to use the phone in portrait or landscape mode.

One downside is that the charger does not travel through phone cases very well, so you will likely have to take your case off for an effective charge. Another issue that the the power LED — though a nice touch — cannot be disabled, which may distract you in a dark room at night.

All said and done, the Seneo Wireless Charging Pad does its primary job fantastically, especially with a Qi 2.0-compatible phones. If a fast wireless charge is all you really need, then this is a great option.

Price: $19.95 (40 percent off MSRP)

Buy the Seneo Fast Wireless Charging Pad here.

Pros:

  • Stand design allows for easy use while charging
  • Qi 2.0 fast wireless charging on certain phones
  • Can be charged in portrait or landscape mode

Cons:

  • Does not work well with cases
  • Adaptive fast charging wall adapter not included
  • No way to disable the power LED

9. Mopo Wireless Charger Power Bank

wireless charger, charging station, qi wireless charging, wireless charging pad, best wireless charger

(Amazon)

As both an external battery pack and a portable wireless charger, the Mopo Wireless Charger Power Bank is a great value if you are looking to utilize inductive charging on the go.

This battery pack charger is a self-contained charging solution, that you can simply set your phone on top of to get a 2A charge. It is a little larger than the iPhone 7, and can easily be pocketed with your phone for mobile wireless charging.

The Mopo Charger is doubly useful because it also has a USB port for powering up your non Qi-compliant devices. The Mopo’s 12000mAh battery is large enough to provide full power to one wireless device and one wired device concurrently.

When a charge is complete or the device is idle, its built-in energy saver puts the charger into idle mode when it’s not charging. This ensures it can charge for as long as possible without needing to be re-juiced itself.

It works with cases up to 8mm thick, and even includes an AC adapter for immediate use, but the adapter is a little bulky and might block other ports on a surge protector. Ultimately, a built-in battery pack is something every wireless charger should feature.

Price: $31.99 (47 percent off MSRP)

Buy the Mopo Wireless Charger Power Bank here.

Pros:

  • Battery pack allows for flexible charging options
  • Can charge one wired and one wireless device simultaneously
  • Slim, portable form factor

Cons:

  • Would be improved by a built-on way to connect the device (like a rubber band)
  • Included AC adapter is somewhat bulky
  • Does not support pass-through charging

10. JETech Wireless Slip-Proof Charger

best wireless charging pad, best wireless charger, wireless charging pad, wireless charger, qi charger, wireless phone charger, wireless qi charging, wireless charging station, best qi charger

(Amazon)

Yet another great option at under $10, Aulin’s Wireless Slip-Proof Qi Charger is a compact and effective charging pad that keeps your phone in place while it sits charging.

This charger requires some fairly precise positioning to get that sweet spot for charging, but the red rubber lining around the charging surface effectively grips your phone in place to keep it charging properly.

The JETech charger works well through most cases, and charges pretty fast despite not being a Qi 2.0 fast charger. With respect to its price, this charger probably gets you some of the best bang for your buck.

Just keep in mind that wireless charging is prone to create excess heat no matter what quality charger you use. Thankfully, this charger is not as bad as others, but still generates a fair amount of heat on your phone.

One issue I do find is one that I have with a lot of electronics. Its power LED to show its charging status is just a little too bright for me to want it by my bedside at night.

These issues aside, JETech’s charger is a great deal, and a classy addition to your desktop.

Price: $15.99 (47 percent off MSRP)

Buy the JETech Wireless Slip-Proof Charger here.

Pros:

  • Low price tag
  • Fairly fast charging
  • Charges through cases effectively

Cons:

  • No way to disable the power LED
  • Generates heat
  • Small sweet sport
