In a shocking move, authorities in Poland arrested the alleged owner of Kickass Torrents, based on charges filed by the United States. (Read all about the lawsuit here.) But in addition to this arrest and possible extradition to the United States, authorities also seized seven Kickass Torrent domains. Which domains were seized?
Here’s what you need to know.
According to the lawsuit, federal authorities have seized seven domains related to KAT:
- kickasstorrents.com
- kastatic.com
- thekat.tv
- kat.cr
- kickass.cr
- kickass.to
- kat.ph
According to Kickass Torrents’ status website, the service still has other domains that aren’t included in the complaint. These domains include kickassto.co, kickass.ag, kickass.cs, katproxy.is, thekat.se, katproxy.cc, lovekat.org, and an onion site. However, all the proxy sites are now down too.
The Kickass Torrent website reported earlier today that everything was working fine with its primary domain:

This message was later changed and now the site is unreachable.
