The Falcons waived Paddock on Sunday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. After being waived by the Falcons on Aug. 1, Paddock rejoined the team 10 days later after Nathan Rourke was let go. Across his two preseason outings, Paddock completed 10 of 20 pass attempts for 82 yards, most of which came in the Falcons' second preseason game against the Ravens. Assuming he clears waivers, Paddock will look to catch on with a team as a practice squad/emergency quarterback.

Back with Atlanta
Paddock re-signed with the Falcons on Sunday. The quarterback signed with Atlanta as an undrafted free agent in April but was waived Aug. 1 to make room for quarterback Nathan Rourke. Now, Rourke is gone and Paddock is back as the fourth quarterback behind Kirk Cousins, Michael Penix and Taylor Heinicke. In seven regular-season games at Illinois last year, Paddock completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 1,278 yards and nine touchdowns.
Let go by Atlanta
The Falcons waived Paddock on Thursday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports. The move was to make room on the 90-man training camp roster for quarterback Nathan Rourke, who was let go by the Giants on Sunday. Paddock signed with the Falcons in April as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois. He completed 59.4 percent of his passes for 1,278 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions across seven games during his senior season. Should he clear waivers, Paddock will look to catch on with another team in need of an emergency quarterback.
