United Kingdom Road Named After Tomb Raider

1267206698_croft.jpgGet ready to welcome Lara Croft Way! Back in December, a town in the United Kingdom held an internet poll to let people choose the name of a new road in the town of Derby. “Lara Croft Way” won by a whopping 89%.

Derby Councillor Lucy Care said that the reason is probably because the game Tomb Raider was originally created by Core Studios which was located in Derby. Another reason could be that word spread on the interwebz and a large breasted video game vixen was more appealing than “Osmaston Road” and “Burton Road.” Seriously. Those were the other two options.
