James Bond 23 On Hold

Forget everything you heard about the upcoming Bond film. No Rachel Wiesz as as Bond villain or whatever. The followup to Quantum of Solace has been delayed until further notice, ComingSoon.net reports.

Bond producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli released this statement as an excuse: “Due to the continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM and the failure to close a sale of the studio, we have suspended development on ‘Bond 23’ indefinitely. We do not know when development will resume and do not have a date for the release of ‘Bond 23.'”

So basically, the longest running movie franchise is stuck right now. And right when they started getting good again. Decent stories and cool intro-music aside, I guess we’ll have to wait around until the producers decide their fate.
