Here’s a reason to remove FarmVille from your Facebook account (other than the fact that when your friends see your status updates they unfriend you). A 12-year-old from the UK racked up a bill of £905 (about $1400 US) while playing the popular social networking game developed by Zynga, Games.com reports. He paid about a third of the debt with his personal savings account (what’s a 12-year-old doing with that much money?) and the rest was billed to his mother.
When asked about why he did it, he responded that the game had “good stuff that I wanted.” His mother contacted her credit card company but found out she could only qualify for a refund if she reported her son to the police. Decisions, decisions.
