While promoting his new film It’s Kind of a Funny Story, Zach Galifianakis let slip to EW that he would love to shoot the upcoming sequel to The Hangover in Moscow.
Galifianakis, who starred as Alan Garner in The Hangover, said that the same way the characters in the original traveled throughout the dirtier side of Vegas, he could see a sequel where the characters get involved with the seedier side of crime in Moscow.
“I think Russia would be amazing,” he says. “The first Hangover worked because it was Vegas, but it was the dirty side of Vegas, not the glitzy one. You’ve got to put the characters against danger. So they could get involved in organized crime in Moscow, which I think is incredibly scary.”
He then goes on to say, “Where it is going to take place is beautiful. They probably will show the dirty part of the beauty. I think that’s the goal.” Which leads me to think they are probably filming in Miami or somewhere boring like that. Oh, the shenanigans they’ll get into, accidentally walking into the locker room of the Miami Heat!
