Adele’s James Bond Theme, ‘Skyfall,’ Leaks Hours Before Debut

The highly anticipated theme song for the new James Bond film, “Skyfall,” by Adele leaked just hours before its intended debut. A French radio station foiled the secret agent’s plans to cleverly release the single at 0:07 a.m. in the U.K., or 7:07 p.m. ET. Adele posted the song to her YouTube channel at its intended time.

The song is everything a James Bond theme song should be and always has been. It’s mysterious, intense and powerful and Adele’s sultry singing style is perfect for the new voice of the 007 film that is titled with the same name as the track. The singer wrote the song with Paul Epsworth and recorded it with a 77-piece orchestra at Abbey Road Studios in London.

Skyfall, the movie, opens up in theaters Nov. 9.
