That argument hasn’t been valid since 2003, but somehow the VMAs continue to roll on in mediocrity and a few 30-somethings still lament about 120 minutes. Here’s the thing. MTV didn’t decide to cancel music videos for pregnant teens and drunken guidos, generation Y forced them to.

Yep, the TRL kids decided they’d rather steal their music and turn to the web for musical content, thus forcing MTV to go with a new game plan. The truth hurts.
