Notorious B.I.G. Autopsy Report: Graphic Details Released 15 Years Later

It’s been 15 years since rapper Notorious B.I.G., real name Christopher Wallace, was murdered in 1997, but his never-before-seen autopsy report was leaked to the public on Friday.

The report graphically details the gunshot wounds that B.I.G. sustained on the night of his death. According to the report obtained by TMZ, he was shot a total of four times in the chest, shoulder, leg and forearm. Only one of the four shots were fatal. The fourth shot, which entered the rapper’s right hip and ripped through several vital organs, left Biggie Smalls dead. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Hospital immediately after the shooting, but it was too late.

The shooter was never identified and still remains a mystery. LAPD officials said they released the 23-page autopsy report in hopes that it would generate new leads in the case.

The family of the rapper has since expressed skepticism of the release of the report.

“What legitimate lead could be stimulated by releasing an autopsy that says Mr. Wallace was shot, when everyone knows that,” said Perry Sanders Jr., a civil rights attorney who represents B.I.G.’s mother and other relatives. “Why don’t they release some of clues they have?”
