Zooey Deschanel’s divorce from Death Cab for Cutie’s lead singer, Ben Gibbard, has been finalized as per her official court papers:
As of December 12, the New Girl star and Gibbard bought a one-way ticket to Splitsville. The “adorkable” couple wed in 2009 but decided to part ways in 2011 due to “unhappy and irreconcilable differences,” according to the papers.
It’s all cool, though. Deschanel told People Magazine that the ex-couple are friendly toward one another.
