Swagger, whose real name is Jacob Hager Jr., was in Mississippi for a taping of WWE SmackDown when he was pulled over just a half hour after taping. Gulfport Police Lt. Craig Petersen clocked Swagger going 55 miles per hour in a 44-mile-per-hour zone. Petersen found the wrestler in the possession of a small amount of pot and to make things worse, he suspected him of driving under the influence of marijuana.

Swagger’s 2013 Ford Taurus was towed from the scene and a friend picked him up from the police station. It’s unknown whether he was drug tested before he was released.

The WWE wrestler is due for a March 12 plea date and faces fines of $188 for driving over the speed limit, $437.25 for pot possession and $1,300 for the DUI charge if it is his first offense.

WWE told TMZ that “Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions.”

Swagger is a WWE World Heavyweight champ and has a wife and 1-year-old son.
