Superman and Batman Team Up in New DC Comics Series

Batman/Superman, Superman and Batman Join Forces

DC Entertainment announced that it will unveil a new comic series that features two of the publisher’s best known heroes, Superman and Batman, joining forces, reports Oregon Live.

Batman/Superman, set to be released in June, will be written by Greg Pak and illustrated by Jae Lee. Pak says DC is giving them “some real leeway to do some really important storytelling.”

Superman and Batman have been fan favorites since the 1930s, but the two have never worked together like they are going to be in the new series. The World’s Best Comics series, which spawned the Superman/Batman series, saw Superman and Batman teaming up, but the new comic will delve deeper and center around how the duo first met in a new universe dubbed The New 52.
