Charlie Sheen’s Train Wreck Ex Loses Custody of Twin Boys

On Thursday night, Charlie Sheen’s twin boys were taken away from his ex Brooke Mueller’s house after officials issued a warrant that Brooke’s house was unsafe for the kids. According to TMZ, twins Bob and Max were given to the custody of Charlie’s other ex, Denise Richards, who has two young daughters with the actor.

Sources told the tabloid that the LA County Department of Children and Family Services suspected that Brooke Mueller was using drugs again and believed that the kids weren’t safe enough in her care. Denise Richards was given temporary custody of the kids until a court hearing next week to determine who the kids should live with.

Mueller struggled with drugs for years and went to rehab last year, when Denise Richards also cared for the boys.

A source told RadarOnline:

She (Richards) loves the boys and their safety and wellbeing mean everything to her. Bob and Max are safe and that is all the matters. Denise is simply complying with the court order.

Brooke went into rehab last year for treatment following her arrest for cocaine possession and assault charges against Sheen.

A source told E! Online that social workers have been investigating Brooke Mueller’s habits, discovering that sometimes she leaves the house for a long period of time. “She hasn’t lived in her house for a few weeks,” the source said. “They don’t know where she’s at. It’s been so bad.”

An insider said that Mueller is “in a very, very bad place right now. She is absolutely despondent that she lost the boys. Maybe this will finally make her realize that she needs to get help.”
