As fans eagerly await information for the upcoming J.J. Abrams directed Star Wars: Episode VII , the fist morsel of information regarding the upcoming film has hit the web. Initially posted by entertainment blog SchmoesKnow, the information has been confirmed by Deadline as offical casting breakdowns from casting directors April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg in the US, and casting agent Nina Gold in the UK. The trio of casting agents have sent these casting breakdowns to talent agents in anticipation of filling out the latest incarnation of the Star Wars universe.
While auditions have not yet occurred, here are the types of roles that Star Wars Episode VII is looking to cast. If you think you fit the bill, it’s always worth trying to get a hold of an agent. Who knows, maybe you’ll get to be the next tough seventy year old tough guy in the Star Wars universe.
A young man aged between 20 and 25, witty and smart, fit but not classically handsome,
Man in late twenties, also fit, but this one is handsome and confident.
Late teenage girl, independent, good sense of humour, also… physically fit .
Second young female, also late teens, tough, smart and physically fit.
Man in his forties, obviously physically fit, this one is a military type.
A man of around thirty or so, this one is an intellectual type.
Finally, a guy aged around seventy, strong opinions and tough.
