The wildly popular eight-novel book series Artemis Fowl, by Eoin Colfer, is a science fiction saga about a teenage criminal mastermind. The first book of the series was published in 2001, and, according to moviesblog, is now prepared to become a Disney movie production. Walt Disney Studios announced it partnered up with producer Harvey Weinstein to bring the novels to life.

Moviesblog reports it’s tough to find a decent teenage actor — so the main role of the story, a 12-year-old boy, will be the most important and also the hardest cast. The official release date of the film is not yet revealed, but keep your eyes peeled for new details and stay tuned.
