The song parodied Popular, which was made famous by the Broadway star in the hit musical, Wicked.
Chenoweth gave Weiner a shout out on Twitter before the episode aired.

“You will be popular, the right kind of popular,” sings the jubilant 45-year old actress. “I’ll teach you to zip your fly / You won’t be that guy with a camera down his pants.”
Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, who publicly announced her decision to stay with the the former congressman, even received a mention in the song.
“She should take a page from Hillary,” Chenoweth sings. “And become independent of her hubby/while you sport a chatroom chubby–seriously Huma, if that guy doesn’t zip up and unplug, just kick him to the curb.”
