Taylor Swift summoned an ensemble of elite musicians to perform an acoustic rendition of her touching ballad “Red” at the CMA Awards on Wednesday night.

Backed by superstar veterans like Vince Gill and Alison Krauss, country’s reigning princess stole the night not with girlish good looks or giddy smiles, but with a magical musical moment.

In a show full of glitz and glam — this was something special.
