Tomorrow night is the American Country Awards on Fox at 8 p.m. EST and this year’s host is the beautiful Danica Patrick. Check out some of the facts on Patrick.
1. Patrick Was Very Hesitant to Host the American Country Awards
— Danica Patrick (@DanicaPatrick) December 9, 2013
Apparently, Danica Patrick didn’t jump at the chance to host the ACA’s when the opportunity was presented to her. She was actually quite nervous. She told the NY Daily News:
This is one of the first things where I said, You know, let me think about that. I just was nervous about doing it, and I kind of wanted to get a few people’s opinion: Do you think I can handle this? But they made me feel really comfortable. A few months ago I met with the producers and they said it’s going to be easy and you’re going to have fun with it. Hopefully they’re right.
Don’t let Patrick’s nerves fool you though. She’s a confident and sexy woman who knows how to show off her curves. Check out this sexy Twit pic below:

2. Trace Adkins Will Be Co-Hosting With Patrick
— Danica Patrick (@DanicaPatrick) December 8, 2013
First time host Patrick won’t have to worry too much because she’ll have partner Trace Adkins to help her with hosting duties at the ACA’s, which take place in Las Vegas. Patrick gave up some information on how she feels about hosting with Trace Adkins saying:
I’m looking forward to it, and with a guy like Trace who’s done it for a few years and is such a cool, relaxed guy and so well-known and respected in the music industry, and he has a great personality. We’re going to have fun.
3. Patrick Is the Most Successful Woman in American Open-Wheel Racing
Danica Patrick is a very successful American auto-racing driver. Wikipedia reports that:
Her win in the 2008 Indy Japan 300 is the only women’s victory in an IndyCar Series race and her third place in the 2009 Indianapolis 500 the highest finish ever there by a woman.

4. Country Music Isn’t Patrick’s Strong Point
— CMT (@CMT) June 28, 2012
Danica Patrick is not an avid country music listener. In fact, she wasn’t familiar with much of it until she met Miranda Lambert. The NY Daily News reports that:
Lambert invited Patrick to appear in the 2012 video for her hit “Fastest Girl in Town.” It sounded like fun so Patrick signed up. But when she arrived, she was embarrassed to admit she wasn’t familiar with Lambert’s music.
After being embarrassed, Patrick decided to listen to some of Lambert’s music and realized she was a country fan. Since, then, she’s educated herself more and more in the music genre. Check out the music video that started it all … “Fastest Girl in Town.”
5. Patrick’s Career Is a Family Affair
— Katie Copple (@Katie_Copple) February 21, 2013
Patrick is not only a racing driver, she’s also a model, TV personality, and spokeswoman. Her father T. J., helps his daughter by driving her motor coach. He also manages her website and merchandise trailer, while her mother, Bev, handles all of Patrick’s business affairs. They always say no one has your back like family does.
And, apparently, a love of cars is in Patrick’s blood. Her parents got together at a snowmobiling event on a blind date since Patrick’s dad was a racer of snowmobiles, motocross, and midget cars. Plus, Patrick’s mom was actually a mechanic. The apples doesn’t fall far from the tree.
