The judges, along with the rest of America, said goodbye to one of the Top 3 finalists on American Idol tonight. First, it was announced that Jena Irene Asciutto will be performing on the finale with Paramore, Caleb Johnson will perform with Kiss, and Alex Preston will perform with Jason Mraz.
On tonight’s episode, each of the three remaining contestants traveled back to their hometowns and were greeted with incredible support.

The first person announced as safe was Jena Irene Asciutto. Then it was down to the two boys and the one sent home turned out to be Alex Preston.
