Rapper Kendrick Lamar paid tribute to the legendary Tupac with a throwback performance of “California Love” before busting out into his normal routine set. Lamar reflected back on when he was a kid and Tupac was shooting the song’s music video, saying that’s what inspired him.

Ariana Grande accepted the award for iHeartRadio’s Young Influencer Award from Hilary Duff at the show and seemed very touched and surprised by the honor. She also was a bit starstruck by Duff and was so excited to hug the star that she made sure to announce that she couldn’t wait to hug her again at the end of her acceptance speech.
