On July 29, the Daily News reported that Beyonce was looking at a $21.5 million penthouse in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
She was house hunting without Jay-Z, further fueling rumors that they are headed toward divorce.
The musical duo first got together in 2002, although they kept their relationship private for some time.
The couple later married in New York City in April of 2008, and had their daughter, Blue Ivy, there in January of 2012.
1. Beyonce Posted Pictures of Them Toasting
Just as rumors of a split swirled, Queen B posted this Instagram picture of the two of them toasting over an exotic-looking backdrop.
She also added pictures of a beach vacation, on July 26 and 27.
There’s also speculation that Beyonce is pregnant with her second child. In fact, in a June issue of Life & Style, it was reported that she’s rethinking a possible divorce because she is having another baby with him.
2. The Elevator Incident Fueled Rumors
Speculation that there was trouble in paradise came after Beyonce’s little sister, Solange, was caught on camera attacking Jay-Z in an elevator at the Met Gala.
Although the power couple’s relationship seemed to be forever changed after that incident, there is talk that they will stay together for business reasons.
A source close to the couple told Page Six:
There’s still something there, even though it’s not going to last. Business is always part of the equation. They know they’re the king and queen of hip-hop — and really, all of music. Neither wants to lose that.

Page Six’s source said that the elevator attack was over Jay Z’s partying with Rihanna.
“Solange was like, ‘Enough is enough — you must be [screwing] Rihanna,’ To many people who know them, they know it’s not out of the realm of possibility,” the source said.

In May, E Online posted pictures of the faded tattoo, which came after the Met Gala debacle.
In the photos you can see the “IV” tattooed on herring finger, which represented her birthday, Jay’s birthday, and the date of their wedding, was removed.
5. Beyonce Wasn’t Interested at First
They met when he songstress was only 19.
“We were friends first, for a year and a half. Before we went on any date, on the phone for a year and a half,” she told Oprah.
Her uncle, Larry Beyince, told Celebuzz, “He was after her and she wasn’t. She told me she wasn’t too particularly fond of him.”
In an interview, she hinted that Jay Z was the first man she ever slept with, saying, “Though I was too young [in my previous relationship] for it to really be a boyfriend – we didn’t live together, we didn’t, you know… That was my only experience with a guy, and since then I’ve only had one other boyfriend in my life – Jay.”
