1. Their Relationship Began as an Affair

Both LeAnn and Eddie were each married when they began working together, which led to them having an affair that went public as soon as the tabloids found out. LeAnn’s ex-husband opened up to the NY Daily News saying he never saw it coming. Ex Dean Sheremet revealed the day he found out about the affair:

I had a call … from LeAnn. She said, ‘Well, Us Weekly may or may not have a picture of me and Eddie kissing.’ I’m like, ‘Whoa! What do you mean may or may not have a picture? What does that mean?’ So then … it unfolded from there.

2. The Couple Is Hoping Enough Time Has Passed Since Their Scandal for the Public to Accept Them

LeAnn and Eddie were depicted as villains when the news of their cheating together first broke. They were a bit weary about doing a reality show about their relationship, but are hoping that the public will feel differently about them. LeAnn tells Yahoo:

It’s been over five years now since all the craziness started and I think it’s been enough time that we can laugh at it, and we hope people will laugh with us. The situation wasn’t laughable at all, but now all of the craziness, having a blended family — we go through all the same stuff every blended family goes through. It’s just magnified.

3. Eddie And LeAnn Are Plagued by Divorce Rumors

The couple are often in the tabloids for being headed for divorce. There’s tons of rumors about their relationship failing all the time and we get to see how they deal with some of these issues together on LeAnn & Eddie.

4. Eddie’s Children Will Not Be Seen on the Show

LeAnn and Eddie work on blending their families together, but you will not see the children Eddie shares with his ex-wife. They two agreed from the very beginning that they would not be included. LeAnn opens up about how blending families has gone for the two of them as a couple:

The kids are aware of what’s going on, but they’re also loved in both homes and I think that’s all that matters. They’re loved in both homes and they’re happy in both homes. They obviously know it’s difficult for us to get along, but we do in front of them. We’re trying our best and I think that’s all that we can do. We are cordial in front of the kids, it’s something I hope — you know, we do the best we can with having a blended family and the children come first.

5. Brandi Glanville Is Eddie Cibrian’s Ex-Wife

Eddie got together with Leann when he was married to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville, and, according to Glanville, LeAnn was not the first one that Eddie cheated on her with. Just ask Scheana Marie Jancan from reality show Vanderpump Rules. She reportedly was sleeping with Eddie while he was married to Brandi as well.

As far as the exes are concerned, they don’t have input in the show according to Cibrian. Eddie tells Yahoo that Glanville has no say in the show:

She had no input creatively on our show! When something like [Brandi] comes up, it really comes up organically… in [a] conversation that we would have regarding something that has happened through the press or privately.

In the very first episode, there are definitely digs thrown at Cibrian’s ex-wife Brandi … a lot … especially in the first scene.
