1. The Two Are Able to Hold Hands Now That They’re Engaged

The couple may not be married just yet, but Jessa has already changed her Twitter profile name to @JessaSeewald instead of Duggar. Now that the two are engaged, they are still chaperoned, but they can actually hold hands. Duggar and Seewald may have escalated their relationship to hand-holding, but they are determined to keep their first kiss and all other physical aspects of a relationship until their wedding day.

Seewald popped the question Thursday night, August 14, 2014. Jessa is head over heels for her new fiance.

Just this past weekend, Duggar and Seewald celebrated their 11 month anniversary of dating and Duggar posted this message online:

Today is our 11th ‘monthiversary!’ It was 11 months ago that this dashing man asked to court me! Darling, I love you now more than ever! These 11 months together have been AMAZING…I’m sure only to be superseded by the next 11! Y’all, my guy is seriously the most romantic ever! I love you @ben_seewald. He’s seriously the sweetest guy on earth.

Seewald feels that when the time is right, the two will tie the knot. He tells People about how he doesn’t feel any pressure. When Seewald attended the wedding of Jessa’s sister Jill, he stated:

People always ask us when we are getting married. We don’t feel pressure to get married. If there’s any pressure, it’s a good kind of pressure.

Well, it looks like now he’s ready … and he is very romantic when it comes to his future bride. Take a look at the loving message he posted on her Instagram below:

In addition to the above message, Seewald even wrote a love letter to Jessa. The letter read:

My dearest Jessa Lauren, These elegant pearls looked quite majestic when I picked them out. However they were a bit lonely. What good are such beautiful pearls if not to have the grace of being worn by one so elegant and majestic as yourself? These pearls were lonely…just like I am when we’re apart ; but not anymore. I love you my precious princess. Your man, Ben.

3. They Would Like to Adopt Children One Day

Seewald and Duggar want to have a large family and leave the number of children they have “up to God.” Duggar isn’t the only one who comes from a large family. Seewald is actually the oldest of seven children. Duggar and Seewald even hope to adopt one day, telling People:

We are talking about our goals and even just like future, with family, we both talked about adoptions. We are open to having children and both want to adopt, too.

4. Seewald Believes Abortion Is Murder

Seewald has very strong religious beliefs and hopes to be a pastor one day. According to his Facebook, he believes abortion is murder and is completely against it. His “About” section on his profile reads:

I have a passion for the rights of the unborn. Abortion is murder, and it is tolerated today in the nation which I live. I will not stand by and do nothing while unborn human beings are daily being brutally sacrificed on the bloody altar of human convenience. My hope and prayer is that I will live to see the day when this great crime against humanity is totally abolished and eradicated from the face of the earth.

As far as his religious ambitions, he writes:

I want to be a pastor or missionary and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus is EVERYTHING to me. Without Him, I am nothing. Christ is my King and I am striving to use my life to glorify him, and to point others towards his saving grace. Jesus is the ONLY way to everlasting life. John 14:6

5. Marrying Duggar Means Marrying Her Whole Family

Jessa has said that when you marry a Duggar, you pretty much marry the entire family, but Seewald seems to be perfectly content with that. He told People:

The Duggar family gets asked a lot of questions,” he told PEOPLE. “A lot of times we take it as a lesson, and we ask other people who are older and wiser than us to share wisdom with us about relationships. It’s an important thing.
