John Legend and Chrissy Teigen seem to be able to balance great careers with a solid home life.
The Grammy winner married the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl in 2013.
Here’s what you need to know about their love story.
1. He Wrote ‘All of Me’ About Her
Teigen cried when she first heard the ballad that was penned with her in mind.
“All of Me,” off of Legend’s 2013 album Love in the Future, is, according to Billboard, the biggest hit of his career.
“The first line of it is ‘What would I do without your smart mouth,’ so if that’s not about me I don’t know what is,” Teigen, who stars in the music video for the song, said on HuffPost Live.
Teigen feels that Legend is singing directly to her whenever she hears it.
It’s not just a song to me. It’s so personal for me. I don’t really listen to it like a song, I listen to it as like ‘oh, that’s my husband he’s singing about us.’
The wife of the singer thought the song was so special because it is realistic:
It definitely resonates with a lot of people and a lot of people love it and get it. I think it’s a very honest love song. A lot of them are flowers and butterflies and I think ours is kind of more realistic and he’s showing obviously my smart mouth, my curves and edges.
2. They Fell in Love in Italy and Married There
They got married in Lake Como, where they had visited when they first started dating.
When Wendy Williams asked why they chose that location, he said, in the video above, “We fell in love there. We got invited out there by Armani way back when we first started dating.”

As far as celebrity guests goes, Kayne West and Stevie Wonder were in attendance. In addition to Legend singing “All of You” at the reception, Wonder performed “Ribbons in the Sky.”
3. They First Hooked Up on the Set of His Music Video
In 2006, Teigen, who was a catalog model at the time, was cast as Legend’s love interest in the video for his single, “Stereo.”
She recalled meeting him for the first time in his dressing room:
I walked into John’s dressing room to meet him, and he was ironing in his underwear. I said, ‘You do your own ironing!?’ He said, ‘Of course I do.’ I gave him a hug.”
After the 14-hour shoot, the pair went back to his hotel room for some burgers.
“I’m not going to lie. We hooked up,” she told Cosmopolitan.
However, the model decided to give Legend some space, so they didn’t start dating until 2007.
She continued:
I left him be himself for a while. The worst thing you can do is try to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, There’s so much more out there. I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, ‘What are we?’ Marriage was never my goal, because I’ve never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him.
4. They’re Members of the Mile-High Club

She dished to Cosmopolitan that the two had sex on a flight:
We were on our way to Thailand to see my parents, flying commercial first-class. We were under a blanket. We weren’t even in one of those pod things. I feel like we should get a trophy for that.
The couple is obviously not shy when it comes to PDA.
She continued, “We’re by no means freaky-deaky, but let’s just say, we’re open to things. We’re very okay with PDA. When we go to a restaurant, he loves when I wear a dress, so he can do some upper-thigh rubbing.”
5. They Love Cooking
Teigen keeps a food blog, sodelushious.com, where she logs their recipes and food adventures.
