Prior to the actual competition, it was announced live on ABC that the winner of Miss Congeniality at the 2015 Miss America competition is … Miss North Dakota Jacky Arness. Sam Haskell, the CEO of the organization went to the dressing room to announce the big win, alongside Good Morning America‘s Amy Robach.

Arness comes from a family of medical professionals, but her goals are in law, particularly specializing in social justice issues.
In addition to announcing Miss Congeniality tonight, the hottest pageant dad was also announced as well. And the winner was Miss Rhode Island’s father.
