Pretty Little Liars has a cult-like fan base, so with one of its stars coming on board for Dancing With the Stars, they are sure to get votes. Janel Parrish has joined the show with Val Chmerkovskiy as her partner. PLL just ended with a “fatal finale” where Parrish’s character Mona was murdered. So, the timing is perfect. She still has a big PLL following and she has plenty of time to focus on DWTS. Wetpaint writes:
Never underestimate the power of the PLL fandom. PLL is one of the most tweeted-about shows of all time, and the fanbase loves Janel. Now that her character has been unceremoniously murdered on the show, she gets the sympathy vote as well as the brainiac badass one.
