The Big Bang Theory is back to Thursday nights at 8 p.m, and as we wait, let’s look at what’s in store for the scientists.
The new time slot (which is actually its original one) starts with the episode “The Misinterpretation Agitation” on October 30.
Here are some spoilers we know for the rest of the season which include new guest stars, a prom, and a family member’s debut.
1. Billy Bob Thorton Guest Stars
The actor, far left, guests stars in “The Misinterpretation Agitation” and even posed for this picture to support The John Ritter Foundation.
Ritter was Kaley Cuoco’s TV dad on 8 Simple Rules, and passed away suddenly in the second season of that show in 2003.
According to inquisitr, Thorton will be:
playing an amorous doctor who falls in love with Penny after the pharmaceutical sales rep visits his office to peddle her products. Penny has already made it known that she flirts with doctors to sell her wares, and now it looks like this method of making sales is majorly going to backfire. Billy Bob Thornton’s character tracks down Penny and shows up at her apartment to profess his love, which slightly irks Leonard. The love-starved doctor eventually ends up running into Amy, and he also falls head-over-heels for her.
2. These Alien May Be on Soon
Cuoco posted this picture on Instagram, and captioned it with “@themelissarauch and I having a moment with our guest star. We like to make all guests feel welcome. Even aliens.”
Also, Jim Parsons posted a similar image on his Instagram page;
3. Howie’s Infamous Second Cousin Appears
In Season 3, Howard first mentions this cousin as the woman to which he lost his virginity.
She makes her debut on October 30, as evidenced by this tweet:
4. There’s a Prom Episode
Every good sitcom has a prom-focused episode and the Big Bang gets its own on November 6 with “The Prom Equivalency.”
According to the Big Bang Wiki page, Penny cleans out her closet and discovers her old prom dress at the beginning of the episode.
As to be expected, we learn that “both Amy and Bernadette had terrible proms, while popular Penny went to seven.”
This sparks an idea for the gang to redo their prom.
