Collins confessed to the actions with several 11- to 13-year-old girls in the New York area as well as one from Los Angeles. He also said that he tried to right his wrong with one of his victims later on.

After news of the “confession” broke, Collins was quickly fired from his latest project, Ted 2.

TMZ has obtained the audio of Collins confessing to his therapist and estranged wife Faye Grant about several incidents of child molestation.

Grant secretly recorded the confession in 2012 during her painful divorce from Collins. TMZ writes:

We’re told her lawyer advised her it was legal to secretly record the conversation because in California you’re allowed to secretly record conversations to gather evidence the other person committed a violent felony … and molesting a child under the age of 14 qualifies.

In the recording, Collins refers to a “disclosure” and a “list,” which leads us to believe there are many children he exposed himself to and molested.

The truly sad part is that Collins has a daughter named Kate, born in 1989.

3. One of the Victims Is Reportedly a Relative of Collins’ First Wife

He said he molested one victim when she was 11, then 12, then 13 years old. He admitted:

There was one moment of touching where her hand, I put her hand on my penis.

This girl was reportedly a relative of Collins’ first wife Marjorie Weinman. TMZ goes into detail about the girl (now a woman):

The woman claims when she was 10 she would sometimes stay with Stephen and his wife at their NYC apartment. She told cops … she would sleep in the guest room and Stephen would come in after showering, wearing only a towel. She claims he would then expose himself and several times put her hand on his penis. She says he would also touch and rub on her. The woman claims she would often thwart Collins’ overtures by pretending to be asleep.

Reportedly, in the 1990’s, the woman was watching TV and saw Collins on the screen. She then told her husband that Collins had molested her. She also reached out to Collins’ now ex-wife Faye Grant, but Grant didn’t respond to her for 12 years. When Grant found out “the truth,” she wrote the woman an email stating:

Stephen lied when confronted 12 years ago. He said he had a hole in his holey jeans, as was the style then, and you ‘must have’ seen his genitalia one time … Stephen is not remorseful, shows no guilt, and his shame is demonstrated as extreme self pity. He wails and cries, ‘I’m in so much paaaaaain!!!’

4. Police Are Investigating the Case

Since the tapes have come to light, the New York Police Department is now carrying on an active criminal investigation involving sexual contact with multiple underage girls. TMZ writes:

There is a current, active investigation. The official says there are “at least 3 victims” and the nature of the investigation is “inappropriate sexual contact with minors.” Law enforcement sources tell us … one alleged victim in the investigation is the relative of Collins’ first wife, who we’re told first reported the molestation in 2012. One law enforcement source tells us … although decades have passed since the molestation, they believe the case can still be prosecuted because the statute of limitations runs from the date of reporting.

After the tape leaked, TMZ reported that the LAPD had investigated the allegations against Collins in November 2012 but the case was closed
