Chris Tamburello was the longtime on-again-off-again boyfriend of MTV reality star Diem Brown. Brown tragically lost her near-decade-long battle with cancer on November 14. The status of their relationship was constantly in question, but Tamburello was by her side when she passed away. They had been in each other’s lives since 2006.

1. CT Posted to Instagram as He Stuck With Diem Brown to the End

In September, CT posted a photo to Instagram of him and Brown together in the hospital. He held her hand as they slept.

2. He Was With Brown When She Collapsed on Set

In August, as Brown and CT were filming together for MTV in Panama, she collapsed on set in what MTV producers originally thought was an allergic reaction to peanut butter. She flew back to New York, where in September she was diagnosed with cancer for the third time. CT flew back to be by her side when she underwent surgery to remove a tumor in her colon.
The Ashley’s Reality Roundup blog reported on the day of Brown’s death that she and CT were appearing on the new season of Battle of the Exes, which they filmed in Panama. The reality blog added:

3. His Brother Was Murdered

In 2008, CT’s brother, Vincent Tamburello, was murdered by a man named Kyle Bolaski, reports WCAX. It happened in Vermont, allegedly because the two men were in a dispute over drugs. Bolaski claimed self-defense, saying that Vincent was attacking him with an axe when he was shot. In January 2012, Bolaski was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the crime.
4. He’s a Brooklyn Native

According to his IMDB page, CT was born in Brooklyn in 1984 as Christopher Michael Tamburello. His page says that he’s of Irish, Italian and Greek descent.
5. CT Is a Bonafide MTV Star
CT made his name as a star on MTV’s reality mainstay, The Real World. He starred in the Paris incarnation of the show. From there, he went on to appear in a series of MTV shows. You can watch one of CT’s clip from the show above.
