Frieza Returns in 2015 Dragon Ball Z Movie

Announced via V-Jump magazine, the latest Akira Toriyama Dragon Ball Z project has finally been revealed as Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F or Dragon Ball Z: Frieza’s Resurrection. The film will be released in Japanese theaters in 2D and 3D on April 18, 2015.

Just like Battle of Gods, the newest addition to the DBZ franchise will most likely be considered canon in the iconic anime series. V-Jump magazine described the latest story as, “An Earth where peace has arrived. However, remnants of Frieza’s army Sorbet and Tagoma (from the Japanese word for ‘egg’) arrive on the planet. Their goal is to revive Frieza with the dragon balls. Their dastardly wish is granted, the “F” that plans its revenge against the Saiyans is revived…!”

The newest characters to enter the DBZ mythos, featured above, are Sorbet (left) and Tagoma (right), both designed by Akira Toriyama.

However, not only will Frieza be returning, but so will Beerus, the god of destruction who was featured in the previous Dragon Ball Z film, Battle of the Gods.

Dragon Ball Z animation director Tadayoshi Yamamuro will direct the newest movie, with Akira Toriyama credited with the original concept, screenplay and character designs for Dragon Ball Z: Fukkatsu no F.
