‘Scandal’ Season 4 Winter Finale Spoilers

UPDATE:

At the end of the finale, Olivia decides to choose neither Fitz nor Jake, just to choose herself. While having an intimate night with Jake, Jake leaves the living room to get a blanket and pillow only to return to spilled wine, the front door open, and no Olivia. Olivia has been kidnapped to blackmail the President … Olivia also tries to kill her father but there are no bullets in the gun. The two have officially cut ties. Cyrus has also agreed to marry his male prostitute.

The winter finale of Scandal airs tonight and it’s going to be big. The official synopsis of the episode reads: Command is always two steps ahead and everyone in Olivia’s life is in danger. Meanwhile, Cyrus is forced to face the consequences of his behavior, and Huck and Quinn finally figure out just what Elizabeth North has been planning, but they might be too late to stop it. Mama Pope is returning in the mid-season finale of Scandal Season 4 and in case you missed the previous episode leading up to tonight, here’s the rundown:

The last episode, “The Last Supper,” saw Olivia unable to get her father arrested for the crimes he has committed, including ordering Tom to kill Jerry and Harrison. Rowan walked away from their dinner after telling her that their relationship is over. He also said to her that the snipers that she was waiting for outside, who had come to arrest him, are dead. Rowan blamed Olivia for their deaths.

Olivia’s life is in danger, which is no surprise, and she may wage a war on Papa Pope. Buddy TV writes:

The most interesting part is that Huck and Quinn are, for some reason, investigating RNC Chairwoman Elizabeth North (Portia de Rossi). Either Cyrus hires OPA to deal with his male gigolo scandal or perhaps this could be a clue that Lizzie is connected to Caitlin’s murder and the photos of Olivia that Quinn found in the locker. Perhaps her master plan involves more than just blackmailing Cyrus.

The show will return Thursday, January 29, 2015.
