He taught me to pay tribute to the original, but at the same time you want to incorporate your own twist. Also, never strive for perfection. Go on stage, relax and try to connect with the crowd.

Levine is convinced that Jamison has what it takes to be a big star, giving him stellar critiques like:

You were excited up there. You contained your energy so well. When you did those big notes, it was so controlled and balanced. You have that intangible quality You know someone either has it or they don’t, and you have it.

Jamison attends Capital University in Ohio and is the mailman on his campus. Jamison is also used to performing at college gigs, so he’s hoping The Voice will propel him into stardom.

4. Jamison Played A Pepper Shaker In His High School Musical

Jamison played a pepper shaker in his high school’s musical production of “Beauty And The Beast,” describing the experience as “humbling.” He said:

You think you’re not good enough to get that lead role, but it gave me time to focus on the music I want to create as a solo artist.

5. He’s a Singer In a Rock Band

Chris Jamison is part of a rock band with guitarist Jordan Millisor, drummer Matthiessen Nisch Quan, bass player Will Strickler, and Andrew Willard on the keyboard. His band-mates have been very supportive, especially his drummer Quan. Quan told NBC4i:

The fact of the matter is when the show when it’s over it’s over. Hopefully people don’t forget about him but we want to make sure that as many people know what’s going on and many people know how good he is. Because, we’ve always known how amazing a vocalist he is and how people are finally getting to understand what we’ve been able to. He’s one of the most loyal and honest people I never met my entire life. I mean he has every right to throw us to the curb like listen and I’m in LA on national TV I don’t need my friends back in Columbus but he’s absolutely not done that to us. It’s great that the stuff isn’t affecting him in that sort of negative manner.
