Seth Rogen and James Franco’s new movie The Interview has caused an uproar. The NY Daily News writes:
The comedy, about two talk-show hosts (Franco and Rogen) recruited by the CIA to assassinate North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, has angered the country’s officials, with his representatives blasting the film’s release as “an act of war” in a letter to the United Nations earlier this year.
In a coincidence, a group of hackers known as “The Guardians of the Peace” have released information from the movie’s financial records, including Franco and Rogen’s salaries from the film. Rogen reportedly raked in $8.4 million, while Franco made $6.4 million. The NY Daily News reports:
A spokesman for North Korean’s mission to the United Nations did not deny being responsible for the cyber-attack, telling the BBC on Tuesday that “the hostile forces are relating everything to the DPRK (North Korea).” “The Guardians of the Peace” began their attack on Sony Pictures on Nov. 24, leaking watermarked copies of studios’ upcoming films, including “Fury” and “Annie.” The hacker group also sent a warning to the studios’ employees that internal data would be made public “if you don’t obey.” Soon afterwards, the group followed through on its threat, leaking sensitive information about studio employees, including executives’ salaries and employee performance reviews.
The investigation as to who the hackers are is still ongoing.

A 17-year-old girl named Lucy Clode caught Franco on her Instagram video while he was signing autographs and he asked her to tag him in the video when she posted it. So, Clode did just that and that’s when it all began. The two began to direct message each other and soon started text messaging. Clode told Franco her age, he suggested that they get a hotel room, and then Clode duped Franco. She told him she wanted proof that it was really him, so he sent her a photo of himself with a piece a paper that had her name “Lucy” written on it. Then, Clode advertised her interaction with Franco to the world.
Franco responded to the incident saying he used bad judgment and that he just tries to meet people like anyone else does. Franco told Howard Stern:
Seventeen is legal in New York, but that being said, it’s still pretty damn young. They make it out like I’m pursuing young women. I’m not going to high schools looking for dates. I’m leaving my work and they’re coming there…Now people say I victim-bashed her or something. Like how is she a victim? Like anybody, I was just trying to meet somebody. It’s just that my dirty s–t gets put out internationally.

Dave Franco is the younger brother of James, who has starred in movies including Neighbors, Superbad, Charlie St. Cloud, Warm Bodies, and 21 Jump Street. He’s also appeared in a bunch of Funny Or Die skits as well as several big TV shows like Scrubs and 7th Heaven. Dave Franco has been dating actress Alison Brie for almost three years. 4. Franco Likes To Play Pranks On The Paparazzi

James Franco has a history of posting nearly naked selfies on Instagram and then deleting them. He also has a history of playing with the paparazzi, posting crazy, misleading pics online. In the past, Franco has posted photos online pretending to be gay to get the media in an uproar.
As far as what Franco’s brother Dave thinks of his brother posting crazy things on his Instagram, he told the Daily Beast:
I know better than to tell him what to do with regard to anything at this point. What a lot of people think is crazy is also what I admire about him: He does what he wants, and he’s not afraid of how people are going to perceive him. Someone in his position who will put himself out on a limb like that, I think it’s refreshing. So I’m not the one to tell him to stop posting naked pictures of himself on Instagram—not that I’m necessarily rushing to check these pictures out—but he can do what he wants.
Recently, Franco’s playful attitude about the paparazzi reportedly took a bad turn. E! News reported:
The 36-year-old attended the Lana Del Rey concert on Friday night at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where he was photographed gleefully running away from a shutterbug lying on the ground beside him with his left fist raised in the air. While it’s unclear what occurred between the two, an eyewitness tells E! News that Franco ran head first into the photog and tackled him football style, adding that the thesp was laughing but did not appear to be joking around.
The paparazzo apparently filed a police report and complained of a minor back injury.

In August 2014, it came out on E! News that a model named Erin Johnson was the rumored girlfriend of James Franco. Johnson is reportedly both a runway and a swimwear model. Johnson Instagrammed a photo with Franco, as well as one of just Franco with the caption:
