There is a bar at Citi Field, in Flushing, New York, where the Mets call home.
Its owner, Andrew McMurray from Zachys Wine & Liquor in New York, approached Scott about creating a better single serve.
At that time, he didn’t feel like there was anything like it that was up to his standards.
2. It Comes in Chardonnay, Cabernet, Pinot & Merlot
The selections are Chardonnay 2012, Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, Pinot Grigio 2013 and Merlot 2012.
This is because those types are the most popular in the U.S.
The wine is sourced from places like Mendocino, Sonoma and Lodi.
3. It’s Practical
There is no need for a corkscrew to open this wine container. There’s also a resealable screw-top that you can use as a coaster.
The nice part about drinking from the plastic vessel it comes in, is that it looks and feels like an actual glass.
4. They’re Adding More Varieties
Moscato, Reisling, Pinot Noir, Champage and sparkling wine are coming soon, according to Scott. The forward-thinking CEO has plans for the future.
“We have big growth plans for retail, more stadiums, hotels, pools bars and international sales,” he said.
5. He Said ‘Shark Tank’ Is a ‘Tense Atmosphere’
“The sharks are smart and really grill you. You have to be prepared,” Scott said.
