And the new Miss Universe 2014 is … Miss Colombia Paulina Vega.
The top 5 contestants tonight at the 2015 pageant were Miss Colombia Paulina Vega, Miss USA Nia Sanchez, Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennell, Miss Ukraine Diana Harkusha, and Miss Netherlands Yasmin Verheijen. The fourth runner up tonight was Miss Jamaica, the third runner up was Miss Netherlands, the second runner up was Miss Ukraine, and the first runner up was Miss USA.
Miss Jamaica was the top trend on Twitter towards the end of the competition, so viewers were really loving her. Miss Spain was the top trend earlier in the night, but didn’t make it into the top 5.
Tonight’s winner of Miss Congeniality Universe was Miss Nigeria, Miss Photogenic Universe was Miss Puerto Rico, and Best National Costume was Miss Indonesia.

Miss Colombia was asked to tell the audience what women could learn from men and her answer was very unclear.
Miss USA Nia Sanchez
Tonight, Sanchez’s question at the competition had to do with terrorists and she talked about her desire to bring hope and spread love as well as peace.
Miss Jamaica Kaci Fennell
Miss Jamaica had trouble understanding her question at first and she was asked about domestic violence. Her answer was full of energy, but didn’t quite give a solid answer. She also had trouble walking back to her spot on the stage.
Miss Ukraine Diana Harkusha
Miss Ukraine’s question was about removing the swimsuit competition in the pageant and Ukraine said she felt comfortable in everything and thinks it’s a beautiful part of the show.
Miss Netherlands Yasmin Verheijen
As far as Miss Netherlands’ question, she had trouble understanding the question, but the question was what she would want for the next generation. Her desire is to stop child prostitution.

Miss Netherlands
Miss Netherlands stated that she is proudly from Amsterdam, full of art and culture, but she didn’t really answer the question.
Miss Ukraine
Miss Ukraine said that, with her country’s difficult situation prompts her to answer with supporting her country’s armies and people so that they can restore schools and orphanages.
Miss Jamaica
Miss Jamaica said that Bob Marley is from Jamaica and that he is a great trailblazer for the country.
Miss Colombia
Miss Colombia answered that her country is a great example to the world and they always persevere, but her response didn’t really answer the question.
