When Bachelor star Chris Soules met Kaitlyn Bristowe, he instantly knew he liked her, telling People:
I knew I liked her that first night, but as I got to know her better, I realized she was more than just a break-dancing, wise-cracking Canadian. She has depth.
Bristowe is a Canadian wild child who is one of the final four on The Bachelor this season and we’ve got all the facts on her below.
1. Her First Solo Date Was With Jimmy Kimmel
Kaitlyn Bristowe gets her first solo date with Chris Soules on episode three, but the date ends up as a threesome … with Jimmy Kimmel. Let’s just say it was not the date that Bristowe had had in mind, but she handled it well. Soules thought that Bristowe had a fantastic sense of humor and their date at Costco definitely wasn’t boring. When Soules wrote about the date in his blog, he stated:
Once Jimmy arrived, it was on. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. And trying to give the rose to Kaitlyn with Jimmy sitting there was, well, awkward. It got even more awkward when Jimmy joined us in the hot tub. Ever had a threesome in a hot tub with a beautiful woman and a married guy sucking on chicken wings? Sadly, I have … All in all, though, as hilarious and “normal” as our date was, it really showed me that Kaitlyn was someone I could really see myself with. She could joke around with Jimmy Kimmel, but she could also be sensitive and romantic.
2. Bristowe Gets Eliminated After the Overnight Dates
Bristowe makes it to the hometown dates as well as the overnight dates in Bali this season. However, her journey ends after the overnight dates. Then it’s down to Becca Tilley and Whitney Bischoff, according to reports. And, the one who is said to be the winner this season is Bischoff.
3. She Considers Moving Out of Her Small Town As a Big Accomplishment
Like Soules, Bristowe is from a small town – Leduc, Vancouver, BC, Canada. But, she may not have been a good fit for Soules who loves his small town life because she considers one of her biggest accomplishments to be leaving her small town to dance. When ABC asked her what her greatest achievement to date was, Bristowe said:
Getting a dance scholarship and moving out of my small town for it.
She currently works as a dance instructor.
4. We Got To See Her “Tush” This Season
On this season’s group date at the lake, contestant Kelsey Poe called it the “bimbo date” when two contestants took off their bathing suits. Ashley Iaconetti took off her top and jumped in the water, but Bristowe took off her bottoms and showed off her butt. Bristowe got a little backlash from viewers about her risque move, but Soules told People there was a bit more to it, saying:
Now, I know there’s been a lot of reaction to Kaitlyn’s little mooning trick off the dock, but what you don’t know is that the whole group of us was playing Truth or Dare. She was dared to do that and took on the challenge, as did Ashley I. with her bikini top. It’s a classic camping game, and it was all in good fun. Come on people, it was just a tush!
5. Bristowe’s Into Ninja Turtles and Pirates
Bristowe is a free-spirited child at heart and that’s why viewers love to watch her. She told ABC that if she won the lottery, she’d give money to her parents, but she’d also buy an island and make it into a land of pirates that she would call “Yarrrland.” She also seems to be a big Ninja Turtles fan. ABC asked her what fictional character she would be if she could pick one and she replied with:
April O’Neil because she gets to hang out with the Ninja Turtles and she’s a babe.
