With a new year to unfold in the world of wrestling, WWE has decided to throw out the old and bring in the new. The Elimination Chamber PPV is no more. WWE’s new February PPV is the middle point to WrestleMania – WWE Fastlane.

On February 2, 2015, a host of big championship matches will transpire on the Road to WrestleMania 31. All the major championships are up for grabs, except for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. A #1 Contender’s Match will determine who gets to face Brock Lesnar for the title on the grandest stage of ’em all. Along with such a grand match is a verbal showdown between two legends – Triple H and Sting.

Here’s our thoughts on who will win for all the planned matchups at WWE Fastlane 2015.

The Usos (Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso) (c) (with Naomi) vs. Cesaro and Tyson Kidd (with Natalya) (WWE Tag Team Championship)

WWE Fastlane 2015

Predictions & Winners: The Usos have been experiencing a career resurgence since they’ve regained them. They’re currently embroiled in a feud with two underrated talents who’ve joined together to create an awesome duo – Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. The matches they’ve embroiled themselves in thus far have been entertaining (unsurprisingly) and both teams have look impressive each time. When they finally meet up for their Fastlane bout for the tag team championship, we know they’re gonna blow the roof off the place. The Usos are still going strong and we think they’ll pull off the win here. Even though we love Cesaro and Kidd, we think its too early for them to grab the tag team titles yet.

Goldust vs. Stardust

WWE Fastlane

Predictions & Winners: The Rhodes brothers are finally going at each other’s necks. Cody Rhodes…wait excuse us, Stardust has moved farther and farther away from his brother and tag team partner Goldust. Now that their tag team has broken down, we’ve seen Stardust express his discontent with his blood brother and the Rhodes clan. They’ll settle their issues in a singles encounter, which surprises us since we saw this initial meeting take place at WrestleMania. For this 1st meeting between both of the strangest Superstars on the roster today, we think Goldust will pull off the upset victory. Expect some family shenanigans involving Dusty Rhodes during this bout. This in turn will drive Stardust even more mad and drive him to challenge his bro to a rematch at ‘Mania 31.

Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Dean Ambrose (WWE Intercontinental Championship)

WWE Fastlane

Predictions & Winners: Dean Ambrose has nagged the current IC Champion Bad News Barrett for weeks now. Barrett was forced to sign a match contract that will put him across the ring from the crazed Ambrose. Barrett has gotten himself back into fighting shape during his new IC Title reign. As for Ambrose, he’s been winning matches lately but we can’t remember the last time he’s won on a PPV. We think a shocking title win is going to go down on the evening of February 22, 2015. That title change is going to happen at the end of this match. We’re calling it right now, folks – Ambrose is walking away as the new Intercontinental Champion. We think he’s gonna get a fresh winning slate for 2015, which we see starting here with a title victory.

Nikki Bella (c) (with Brie Bella) vs. Paige (WWE Divas Championship)

WWE Fastlane

Predictions & Winners: Sigh…If you know us by now, you already know we’re so done with anything involving the Bella twins. We appreciate a truly talented Diva such a Paige, who has the personality and wrestling acumen we love to see a woman exhibit. We don’t see her regaining the title here just yet. We get the feeling the Divas title will change hands at WrestleMania 31 in some type of feel good moment involving Paige. Nikki wins here, which sickens us. But we see this wrong being corrected at ‘Mania this year.
