On March 25th, there is an Arrow wedding. The Suicide Squad cuts the couple’s wedded bliss short on “Suicidal Tendencies.” Here are some highlights from the episode.
1. Dig & Lyla Get Married, Ray Officiates
Oliver is the Best Man and is late for the pictures. As he is conversing with Dig, he locks eyes with Felicity, who has brought a date. Diggle meets Ray for the first time, who happens to be Felicity’s plus one. Ray is a minister and fills in at the last minute.
Their vows are short and sweet. Lyla asks Dig, “You really wanna do this?” to which he replies, “Hell, yes. Do you?” And she says, “Even more than the first time.”
Oliver asks Felicity if she’s happy and says she deserves a good guy and a normal life.
2. Suicide Squad Interrupts
During the wedding, the crew learns about an Arrow attack. Ray is on television, promising that Arrow will be apprehended.
Oliver orders Dig and Lyla to go on their honeymoon, assuring them that everything will be taken care of. In the limo, they meet with Deadshot. They learn that the Suicide Squad must rescue U.S. Senator Joseph Cray from a hostage situation in the Republic of Kasnia. There was a terrorist attack there.
Digs and Lyla agree to go to Fiji together. They then meet the newest member of the Suicide Squad, Cupid.
3. Deadshot Dies
While Deadshot, Lyla, Digs and Cupid are on the mission, the scene flashes back to Deadshot in a military uniform going home to his wife and meeting his daughter for the first time.
Later, we see Deadshot having a difficult time with his life after the war, pulling a gun on his wife. He is thrown in jail and his wife has a restraining order against him. In jail, he is asked to go on a mission to find Diggle.
Midway through the episode, Deadshot is shot by the senator, who staged the hostage situation to make himself look good. Cupid is shamelessly flirting with him throughout it all. At the end, Deadshot dies in an explosion.
4. Ray Finds Out Oliver is Arrow
Ray explains to Felicity how he found out Oliver is Arrow. “Please you have to trust me, Oliver is not a killer,” she pleads with Ray. When she tells him that he didn’t do it, Ray asks her if she has feelings for Oliver, and she says, “Yes.” She then realizes her mistake and says, “No.”
Ray leaves to get justice. Felicity runs to tell Oliver and he is angry at her for holding it from him.
5. Arrow & Atom Face Off
Ray realizes that Laurel is protecting Oliver. Laurel threatens Ray with a defamation suit, but he vows to get justice on his own. Oliver confronts Ray, who says that Felicity cannot see him for who he really is.
Oliver finds Felicity to warn her against Ray. “I told you that I couldn’t be with you and save the city, neither can Ray,” Oliver tells her.
Arrow and Atom, who is suited up, face each other. Arrow warns Atom to trust Felicity. At the end, Ray tells Felicity that he trusts her. Felicity is shot by an arrow at the very end.
