The Build Up
Ever since the breakup of The Shield, Roman Reigns has clearly been positioned as the one wrestler out of that group to become the man to dethrone Brock Lesnar. With a huge (but controversial) Royal Rumble win and a triumphant win against Daniel Bryan, Reigns has been put into position to fight in the main event of this year’s WrestleMania. Brock Lesnar captured the WWE World Heavyweight Champion from John Cena last year and has been on a tear ever since then. Paul Heyman has single handedly carried this championship feud just by using his voice. The promos have been awesome on behalf of Mr. Heyman and Lesnar’s taped interviews have been entertaining. Reigns is improving on a weekly basis to get ready for his biggest match yet. Rumors have been circulating about whether Lesnar will stay or leave the WWE after his match at Mania 31. When these two beasts finally collide, who will walk away as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion?
How The Match Will Unfold
Our hopes aren’t very high for this match, but we’re holding out a just a little bit of hope that it will deliver. Roman Reigns has added a few extra suplexes to his repertoire, which we were shocked to see him pull out against Daniel Bryan at Fastlane. Reigns is a powerhouse himself, so he’ll be able to throw himself at Lesnar and deal the type of damage that could put him down for good. Lesnar is a juggernaut who’s been dominating everyone that’s been thrown his way. We envision Lesnar suplexing Reigns and squeezing the life out of him during the opening moments of this main event. Eventually, Reigns will put his newfound moves to good use and begin breaking down his opponent. During the closing moments, we expect Paul Heyman to get involved somehow once he notices his client beginning to falter. Reigns will pull off the big win by putting down Heyman and finally pinning Lesnar after numerous Superman Punches and Spears. Lord knows it’s gonna take a few extra finishers from Reigns to defeat Lesnar.
What Happens in the Future
WWE wants Reigns to be their newest face of the company. Once he captures the most important championship in the company, it will be time for Reigns to show and prove. A lot of fans are doubting if he can pull the company line and be the mainstream star he’s being purported to be. Since we now know Lesnar has resigned with the WWE, it’s a given that he’ll be given a rematch at the next PPV. Reigns will be triumphant in that much anticipated rematch and cement himself as the undisputed beast within the WWE. We then see Reigns looking to cement himself as the true face of the company when he faces John Cena one-on-one. And where will that match take place? SummerSlam 2015. Brooklyn, NY. Barclays Center.
