Willow Shields Eliminated Off ‘Dancing With The Stars’

The contestant who we said goodbye to on tonight’s episode of Dancing With The Stars was … Willow Shields.

Tonight was an eventful show for Dancing With The Stars, filled with energy and injuries. Because Derek Hough sprained an ankle and broke a toe, he was present to choreograph and participate a bit in his routine with Nastia Liukin, but pro dancer Sasha Farber had to take over as Liukin’s partner. Their efforts paid off because they got the highest scores of the night and won immunity. This meant that the other couples had to participate in a dance-off part of the show. First was Riker Lynch and Allison Holker against Willow Shields and Mark Ballas, with Willow as the winner of the Salsa routine. Then, Noah Galloway with Sharna Burgess took on Robert Herjavec with Kym Johnson in a Cha Cha dance. Unfortunately, Herjavec had a couple timing issues and missteps, so Galloway won the dance-off. It was a tie score, but veteran judge Len Goodman had the final say. This left the Foxtrot to Chris Soules with Witney Carson against Rumer Willis and Val Chmerkovskiy. In the promo package, Soules said that Willis was one of the contestants he’d hate to go up against, so he surely wasn’t confident about the match, but it definitely didn’t show during his routine. Both couples did a beautiful job, but the celebrity contestant who won that dance-off was Rumer Willis.

After the dance-offs the contestants in jeopardy were revealed to be Rumer Willis, Willow Shields, and Riker Lynch, which meant that a high-scoring star was going home, much to the surprise of viewers. Lynch was announced as safe and then the contestant announced as going home was Willow Shields. The judges and fellow contestants were clearly shocked as they watched Shields hug her partner and sob over her loss.

Stay tuned for the DWTS 10th anniversary special, showing tomorrow night at 8:00 p.m. on ABC.

I too am DONE with DWTS. Willow should not have been eliminated. She can dance! And the “bottom two” should never have been in the “bottom” anything! I am so sick of fan-based popularity contests and people who are idiots that are presented as “stars.” And I wish Derek for once in this show’s history was not partnered with an athlete or former star who danced at some point in her life. I am never watching the show again.
