On tonight’s episode of The Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe goes on a couple crazy group dates, a couple guys go home, and two of the contestants fall in love with each other … well, not really. The official synopsis for tonight’s episode states:

The drama continues as a disgruntled bachelor refuses to leave – even after Kaitlyn sends him home. Her well-meaning talk with the man goes awry, and after this unexpected confrontation, she decides to cut the cocktail party short and go directly to the rose ceremony. Sixteen men move on in an attempt to capture Kaitlyn’s heart. World Champion sumo wrestlers Biyamba and Yama give six bachelors a wake-up call they won’t soon forget, and one unhappy guy vocalizes his displeasure with the day’s activity. Ben Z. goes on a mysterious one-on-one date with Kaitlyn. They both need to face their fears – including scorpions and snakes — as they attempt to break out of the “Escape Room.” Six more bachelors have another kind of terror waiting them when they meet the Bachelorette at an elementary school. But the fun begins when the men find out that they need to teach a class on the “birds and bees.” Meanwhile, a budding bro-mance between two inseparable bachelors might interfere with Kaitlyn’s search for love.

In case you forgot from last week, contestant Kupah was sent home by Kaitlyn and he got very upset with production outside the mansion. The show ended with an angry Kaitlyn going outside to talk to Kupah. On tonight’s episode, she resolves the situation as much as she could and had to start off the show with what was meant to be the previous episode’s rose ceremony. The contestants who were then sent home were Daniel Finney and Cory Shivar. Read on for the spoilers on tonight’s episode of the show, with some additional details on next week’s episode as well.

The Group Dates

The two group dates on tonight’s episode involve sumo wrestling and sex education. First, a group of guys have to fight sumo wrestlers at Universal City Walk in California. The date consists of JJ, Chris, Clint, Shawn B., Joe, and Tony, but Tony doesn’t want to participate because he’s not a violent kind of guy. Shawn Booth ends up getting the group date rose for this one. Check out a glimpse of the Sumo date in the above video.

As for group date number two, the guys have to go to an elementary school and give a talk on sex education. Ryan B., Joshua, Ben H., Jonathan, Tanner, and Jared are all on this date, but Ben H. ends up with the group date rose.

Corey Stansell, Justin Reich, and Ian Thomson don’t get to go on any dates this episode, but none of them are sent home.

Ben Z. gets the one-on-one date and ends up with a rose after a “Fear Factor” date in an abandoned warehouse. Star Kaitlyn Bristowe had no idea who was going to show up for the date as the contestant was chosen by Chris Harrison. Check out the note Chris Harrison writes below:

On Zorn’s date with Kaitlyn Bristowe, he opens up about his mother dying when he was young. He was out walking his dog when he saw his mother’s friend standing outside their house. He ran inside and his family was a mess. He said he never cried because he wanted to stay strong for his family and he admitted that that’s his only regret in life – not crying that day. Kaitlyn became even more attracted to Zorn, convinced that he would be a fantastic husband one day.

Clint Arlis Seals His Fate

Clint Arlis may have scored the first solo date of the season and he may have seemed amazing on the previous episode, but Bachelorette expert Reality Steve says that he acts “like a horse’s ass” and gets sent home tonight. Reality Steve reported:

At the cocktail party, Clint started acting like a horses ass and was becoming too cocky for everyone there, and Kaitlyn sends him home. After Clint is eliminated, Kaitlyn cancels the rose ceremony and takes the guys away for a trip to New York.

Clint and contestant JJ also engage in a bromance on tonight’s episode and Clint actually confesses that he feels a deeper connection with JJ than he does with Kaitlyn. Perhaps if Clint were a little more focused on Kaitlyn, he wouldn’t have been sent home.

***Clint’s elimination comes at the very beginning of next week’s episode.

Tony Harris Leaves the Show

Tony Harris, the “healer”, leaves the show on tonight’s episode. When he becomes part of the sumo wrestling date, he is extremely upset because he is a lover, not a fighter. He ends up having a heated heart-to-heart discussion with Kaitlyn about his feelings and tells her that he doesn’t want to continue to participate in aggressive activities. Kaitlyn becomes upset because she didn’t want to offend anyone. Tony ends up packing his things and saying goodbye to Kaitlyn.

On Next Week’s Episode …

Former Bachelorette runner-up contestant Nick Viall meets up with Kaitlyn and the two end up making out in New York after a group date she has with the guys. Normally, former contestants who show up for a chance at love again are turned away, but this is not the case and Nick Viall makes it pretty far in the competition. For one of the group dates, the guys have a rap battle, which is a favorite of Kaitlyn’s. The other group date involves the Broadway show Aladdin. Jared Haibon gets the solo date and three of the contestants get eliminated on this episode.
