Caitlyn Jenner is 65 years old, born as Bruce Jenner on October 28, 1949. So, why did Jenner choose to transition into womanhood at this age? Jenner opened up in her Vanity Fair interview, explaining that:
If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.You never dealt with yourself,’ and I don’t want that to happen.
Jenner came out to the public about being transgender in one of the most well-received interviews in history, conducted by Diane Sawyer. She also appeared in two episodes of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, titled “About Bruce.” The episodes were dedicated to the effects her decision to transition was having on her family. Jenner sat down with Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner and ex-wife Kris Jenner to answer any questions they had. Jenner was met with a lot of support, though his family was visibly upset, displaying tears, anger and confusion. Nonetheless, there never seemed to be an ounce of disapproval.
