Disney released its first official photo for Star Wars: Rogue One, a prequel movie that takes place before Star Wars: A New Hope. The photo was released as part of Disney's D23 Expo. The film explores the background of resistance fighters who want to steal plans for the Death Star, according to Disney's official website for the film. The film takes place from a "ground-war perspective," according to Disney, but keeps the Star Wars feel. Gareth Edwards will direct. The film will premiere on December 16, 2016.
