‘Gilmore Girls’ May Be Revived With Original Cast on Netflix

Is it true? Are the Gilmore Girls returning? According to Rolling Stone, Gilmore Girls is in talks to hit Netflix with a revival of the original cast for four 90-minute shows. The original show ran from 2000 until 2007 and could now pick up filming next year. The Hollywood Reporter states that creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and stars Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are in talks to carry on with the project. Many of the original cast members are said to be on board with the idea, though fans may be sad if Melissa McCarthy (Sookie St. James) does not return to the series.

Sadly, Edward Hermann, who played Richard Gilmore, the father of Lorelai, wife to Emily, and grandpa to Rory, passed away this year. Should the series return, Richard Gilmore’s death will most likely be worked into the story line.
