Bindi Irwin And Derek Hough – ‘Dancing With the Stars’ 2015 Finalists

Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough

Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough are the couple to beat on the finale of Dancing With the Stars as part 1 of the finals airs tonight. The two have been so amazing to watch as Derek Hough is a fan-favorite cast member and Irwin is one of the bubbliest girls you could ever meet. One issue that the two have had this past week when gearing up for the finals is that Hough has been a bit under the weather. Hough revealed in his TV Guide blog: I am getting sick again, which is not good. I don't think I fully recovered from last time. It's been an ongoing thing the past two weeks. My glands are swollen, my chest hurts and it's hard to breathe and I'm coughing a lot. As far as what fans can expect to see from the couple in the finals, Hough summed it up, saying: This whole season has been a love letter to her dad. It honored her dad, her family, her loved ones and it also showed her growth from this little girl we all saw years ago into this wonderful, beautiful woman. Bindi really wants to be a force for good and she is. Our freestyle really embodies love and there are things in the routine that are not effects, but are nice looks and lighting and things of that nature that make it feel very raw and authentic. When I look at Bindi, I see someone who's extremely raw and authentic. I feel like the dance needed to match her. Tonight, the couple battle it out in the ballroom against contestants Carlos PenaVega, Nick Carter, and Alek Skarlatos. Yes, this makes Irwin the only female contestant left in the competition. Watching Bindi and Derek throughout this season of “Dancing With the Stars” has been very exciting. What drew me to Bindi was her confidence. In the beginning of the show, she talked about losing her dad (Steve Irwin) at a young age. Because I felt emotional towards her story, it kept me watching the show, just to see her perform! I think what makes TV shows so popular, is when they connect emotionally with its audience, like I did with DWTS when I watch Bindi dance.
